Katie Price TROLLED for buying new sofa despite 'failing to pay court fine'

Katie Price has faced criticism online after sharing photos of her newly refurbished home, shortly after telling a judge that she would be unable to pay a £1,100 fine for driving while disqualified and without insurance.

The former glamour model, who previously admitted that she had “let things go” at her West Sussex home on her reality show My Crazy Life, posted pictures of her newly decorated living room and hallway on her Instagram account.

The images showed off dramatic light fittings, sparkling glitter wallpaper and a brand new sofa.

“So well chuffed with my house how it’s come together and love my new sofa @tradepricesofaswalesuk,” Price wrote.

Price appeared at Crawley Magistrates Court last week, where she pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance.

She had been spotted driving on the A24 near her home in West Sussex on July 25 while her six month driving ban was still in place.

Her defence Paul Macaulay told the court that Price had mistakenly believed that the ban had been imposed after an earlier hearing in January, meaning it would have ended at the start of July, before the incident took place.

She was banned from driving for a further three months and fined £1,100, but reportedly told the magistrate that she would need more time in order to pay the charge. She was then issued with a 14-day collection order, meaning that the fine must be paid within a fortnight.

The star’s followers did not hold back as they slammed her for focusing on the new additions to her home so soon after her court appearance.

“So how about pay your fines and then show me your new sofa?” one comment read.

“@officialkatieprice aren’t you supposed to be broke?” another user asked.

“Amazing how does someone who’s spared bankruptcy afford a very expensive looking new sofa?” a third weighed in.

Her posts came shortly after Price received similar criticism for “showing off” her new German Shepherd puppy, which is thought to have cost her around £1,000.

However, others took a more positive approach to Price’s latest post, branding it “an improvement” from previous shots of the star’s home.

“Well done Katie it looks amazing! Should be proud,” one supporter wrote.

Price is awaiting a second trial at Bexley Magistrates Court on February 25 for another motoring offence.
