Katie Price has been taken to hospital after being injured in an alleged attack.
The former glamour model is believed to have sustained a facial injury in the incident, the PA news agency reports.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault following the incident in the early hours of Monday in Little Canfield, Essex Police said in a statement.
The force said: "We were called by colleagues in the ambulance service to reports of an assault in The Meadows, Little Canfield, shortly after 1.30am this morning, Monday August 23.

"We arrived and found a woman had sustained a facial injury which required hospital treatment.
"A 32-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of assault."
The statement added: "He remains in custody."
Katie, 43, hasn't commented publicly.

The attack comes days after the mum-of-five expressed her pride as eldest child Junior, who she shares with singer Peter Andre, has signed his first-ever record deal.
The 16-year-old put pen to paper and has excitedly signed with Columbia Records.
Katie wrote on Instagram over the weekend: "I am so excited and no words can describe how proud I am of my son @officialjunior_andre signing his very well deserved record deal.

Katie is also due to appear on Celebrity MasterChef on BBC One tonight which was pre-recorded.
