Katie Price starting a new petition as she continues to fight for Harvey's Law

Katie Price made an appearance on This Morning on Tuesday to discuss the latest developments in Harvey's Law.

The 42-year-old joined a conversation with Britain's Got Talent star Jade, who revealed her five-year-old sibling Christian has been the subject of nasty internet trolls since their appearance on the talent show in 2020.

Jade, from singing group Sign Along With Us, became emotional as she spoke to This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about the abuse some people have sent them.

"He’s a five-year-old boy, hating on a child! Trolls just need to go away now," Jade said as she started to well up.

Katie agreed and said: "I’d love to go and meet some of these trolls and ask what goes through their heads.

"I’m starting a new petition basically. Because at the moment, they can close you down down but then they can open other account and start abusing again.

"Sometimes I think it does encourage them. When I've named and shamed people, I think they get a kick out of it.

"But as soon as these trolls know you’ll get fined or go on a register, I do think it will slow down," Katie added.

The mum-of-five confirmed that she has started a new petition to ensure that nasty internet trolls face consequences for their actions.

The former glamour model, 42, has been campaigning to have Harvey's Law passed after her son, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, was repeatedly attacked by trolls.

Stemming back to 2017, Katie revealed that she wanted tougher action against online trolls after her son Harvey, now 18, faced a string of vile comments from online users.

At the time, Harvey - who is partially blind, autistic and has Prader-Willi syndrome - was targeted by nasty Twitter users.

After seeking help from the police, Katie was shocked to learn that no charges could be pressed against the online trolls despite police intervention.

As a result, Katie decided to launch a petition calling for the introduction of a tough new law, that was named in honour of her eldest son.

According to the petition, there were a string of online abuses that Katie wanted stamped out with the help of the Government.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV1.
