Katie Price has reportedly splashed £1,000 on a new puppy to “take her mind off things” just one week before her bankruptcy hearing.
The model is facing a second bankruptcy court hearing in the coming days after being given 12 weeks to try to rectify her financial situation back in August.
But a source claims that Price, 40, has decided to spend some money on a new furry friend after being left devastated by the loss of German Shepherd Queenie earlier this year.
An insider told The Sun: “Katie's last German Shepherd was run over and killed by a takeaway driver and recently it's been weighing heavy on her mind.
“She sold off loads of her animals but she thinks a dog would help take her mind off everything going on in her life right now.”
They added that everybody is supporting her because a “puppy would keep her busy and away from partying”.

Earlier this year, Price was left inconsolable after beloved pooch Queenie was allegedly run over by a driver.
According to Price, the driver of the van failed to stop and report the incident and “left her to die” in the road.
“I'm absolutely Devastated heartbroken my faithful loving family dogs life Queenie has been shortened as she was killed by a heartless delivery driver who ran into our dog seeing her struggle and drove off without telling us and left her to die,” she wrote.
“Very disappointed a human being can be this heartless. Security cameras show this and we have reported to police! DEVASTATED is a understatement.”
Queenie was given to Price as a present by husband Kieran Hayler for her 38th birthday back in 2016.
