Katie Price slammed by ex-husband after claims she has 'limited access' to kids

Katie Price 's ex-husband Kieran Hayler has slammed the former glamour model after she claimed she has "limited access" to her children.

This comes ahead of her new one-off documentary that comes out next month, following the TV star's life after her drink-driving crash last year.

After narrowly avoiding jail, she claimed that "recent events" are to blame for the distance between her and her kids.

The documentary, entitled Katie Price: Trauma and Me, will air next month on Channel 4 and sees the star open up about her struggles with mental health, the Mirror reports.

She said: "The hardest thing I’ve had to deal with in the recent months is having limited access to some of my kids.

"Recent events have meant I’m seeing my youngest children less and the relationship between me and their father has broken down."

She added: "It’s not good for my mental health and it’s certainly not good for their mental health. They should be having their mum in their life. At the moment I’m stuck in this rut with Jett and Bunny and it is frustrating for me.

"You know, seven months, how has it even got to this? It’s heart-breaking and I just wish it wasn’t like this. All I can do is hope that this won’t be forever."

However, a representative for ex-husband Kieran Hayler has said: "This is categorically untrue."

They told The Sun : "Kieran's focus remains on the children's best interest and in maintaining the children's best interests and safety at all times.

"Miss Price's version of events are never accurately portrayed. It is a shame the producers of the program did not feel it appropriate to balance the claims by interviewing the fathers who have first-hand kept the children in a loving, caring and stable environment."

In the documentary, Katie says that her mental health battle started long before the drink-driving crash and that things were far worse a couple of years beforehand.

She said: "I hit a severe depression a couple of years ago, depression on top of PTSD. I was suicidal, I didn’t want to be here."

Katie Price: Trauma And Me airs on Thursday, September 8 at 9pm on Channel 4.
