Katie Price has finally lifted the lid on the utter chaos which ensued after she posted a now-viral snap of herself cradling her ‘bump’.
The 42-year-old sent tongues wagging back in April when she posted the cryptic image which saw the former glamour model place her hand on her tummy.
The surprising post immediately sparking pregnancy rumours, however, the speculation amid her fan's confusion over the snap left Katie utterly fuming.
Alongside the image, Katie penned: “Happy and healthy. It’s the best feeling ever I thank Carl Woods for being part of me x."
While her caption only added fuel to the already burning fire, behind closed doors, Katie was struggling to conceive, and in reality, she was actually worlds away from being pregnant.
After fans and celebrity pals immediately started to send the mum-of-five congratulatory messages, Katie couldn’t have been further away from celebrating a pregnancy.
Lifting the lid on the rumours, Katie told The Sun that it was an incredibly tough period for her.
At the time, the reality TV star was dealing with heartbreak as her pregnancy tests continued to come back negative.
Katie explained: “That was so annoying as everyone was speculating, I was pregnant but I wasn’t. I wished I was.”
“I have put on loads of weight as I’m trying to eat really healthily - so I just felt like saying: 'F*** off!'
“We’ve been doing pregnancy tests every month but the last few months we haven’t bothered. It’s been so disheartening.”
Katie, who met former Love Island star Carl through mutual friends last year, has been incredibly open about her desires to start a family with her beau.
The 42-year-old star previously shared her hopes of welcoming four more children with Carl.
Katie, who's already mum to Harvey, 18, Junior, 15, Princess, 13, Jett, seven, and six-year-old Bunny, would ideally like to have another four kids before her biological clock stops ticking.
Speaking to The Sun, the broody star admitted: “I do want more babies. If I could, I’d definitely like another four kids. I might be able to, but my age isn’t helping.”
