Katie Price says she's a 'good mum' and hates when people credit her kids' dads

Katie Price has said she is a "blood good mum" and hates it when her children's dads are given all the credit.

The former glamour model, 42, told how people always compliment her on how polite her five children are, which she says she deserves credit for.

She co-parents Junior, 15, and Princess, 13, with her first husband Peter Andre, and Bunny, seven, and Jett, six, with her ex Kieran Hayler, while her eldest son Harvey's father Dwight Yorke has not been involved in his life.

Speaking to The Sun, Katie said: "I don't need to justify myself as a mother - I know I'm a bloody good mum.

"I can take my kids anywhere and wherever I've taken my kids, everyone is like, 'I can't believe how polite your kids are they're a pleasure to have', and that is down to me, their parenting and their dads as well.

"The kids love coming to me, I'm completely different, I'm the laid back one.

"They get a bit of both, they get the strict parent and the easy going one where they can stay up later and watch a movie."

It comes after Katie revealed her difficult decision to put Harvey, 15, into full-time care.

Harvey was born with rare genetic disorders Prader-Willi syndrome and Septo-Optic Dysplasia which effects his brain function, hormones and vision.

Harvey also has autism and has a long list of other behavioural and medical conditions, the cognitive understanding of close to a seven-year-old and complex hormone issues.

It means Harvey is prone to violent outbursts, including smashing electronic devices and leaving holes in the walls.

Katie has decided to move him into full-time care so he can become independent and socialise with other people.

In her new documentary, Harvey and Me, which airs tonight at 8:30pm on BBC One will be seen finding Harvey a new place to live.
