Katie Price says she “feels sick” when she watches herself on Loose Women two years ago as she looks “dead in the eyes”.
Having since checked into the Priory where she was treated for severe trauma, Katie says she has “turned her life around”.
But despite being a regular panellist while mentally unwell, she claims she currently wouldn’t be invited back on Loose Women.
“I was doing Loose Women for two years,” says Katie, 42. “When I look back at that it makes me feel sick.
“Those two years were when I was bad mentally, but I still went out there and put on a brave face. I look dead in my eyes."

She went on: “I feel like saying to them: ‘But you had me on your show when I was at my illest? But now I’m fresh, you wouldn’t offer me that back again?’
“I’m not saying they wouldn’t... but they wouldn’t at the minute.
“I feel like saying: ‘This is me now. You’ll get the best out of me now, whereas then, you had me at my worst, when mentally I was really going through it'.
“I wasn’t well but I was still able to perform like a seal.”

Katie says she felt “afraid” to voice how unwell she was, and would instead “brush off” her issues.
“Every time we had our morning meetings I would always come in with another drama,” she tells Annie Mac’s Changes podcast. “They’d be like: ‘Oh my God, Kate, it’s exhausting.’
"I would sit there thinking: ‘I know, can’t one of you just say: ‘Kate are you alright?’ It’s like I’m trying to say can someone ask if I’m alright.”

Loose Women declined to comment.
Katie says the Priory helped her learn about “accepting and reassuring yourself”, as she relived harrowing details of her past, saying she checked in when finally: “My poor little mind couldn’t take it.”
“I am now the best I’ll ever be,” she says.
