Katie Price has confessed sex with virgin Gareth Gates was so rough she made his penis bleed.
The former glamour girl, 42, embarked on a whirlwind affair with the singer in 2002 when he was just 17 after she became infatuated with him during his stint on Pop Idol.
They kept their romance secret in a bid to protect his blossoming career as he competed on the TV talent show, eventually coming second to Will Young.
Katie confessed that she took his virginity during their clandestine love affair, which she detailed in her book Being Jordan.
In the tome, Katie revealed their romps mostly took place on a sofa at a friend's house in an effort to keep their antics out of the spotlight.
However, they had a chance to have sex in a real bed when they both booked into a hotel to attend the Brit Awards in London.
She revealed they planned a romantic night together, but it ended in disaster when their energetic sex left Gareth with a nasty injury.
Katie wrote: "Gareth's performance was definitely improving. I was just getting into the swing of things and Gareth was getting into his stride, when suddenly he leaped off the bed screaming 'My dick, my dick, look, it's bleeding!'
"It bloody well was too, a lot. He was practically hysterical. I suppose any man would be to see their tackle in such a state.
"I tried to calm him down. We could hardy go to a doctor or go to casualty, so we had to stop the bleeding immediately.
"I found some cotton wool in the bathroom, discovered the first aid kit his mum had packed for him - I don't imagine she thought it would be put to this use - and got some Vaseline.
"Then I wiped away the blood to try to see what happened. I reckoned his foreskin was a bit tight and had ripped slightly - I'm just guessing mind you...
"Poor Gareth took it all very badly. I laid him down on the bed and cuddled him - our dreams of a passionate night of sex were well and truly shattered..."
The relationship didn't last long after the sex injury incident as Katie had been caught on camera sneaking into Gareth's room and their romance became public knowledge.
They both denied being romantically involved and Katie was later surprised when the singer dumped her by text, leaving her feeling "gutted".
She wrote: "I really didn't need any more rejections in my life. I was with him at an important time in his life, and then suddenly he dumped me.
"He always said that once he got his record deal then we might be able to be open about our relationship...
"But when the deal came through, our relationship was over."
