Katie Price's mum reveals why she voted for Brexit - even though she lives in Spain

Katie Price's mum has opened up about the reason she voted for Brexit ... despite the fact that she has been living in Spain.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain today, Katie's mum Amy said that she voted leave in the referendum so that Britain could "take back control".

While Amy doesn't currently live in Spain at the moment, she has moved to Spain to improve her health following her terminal lung condition diagnosis.

Piers Morgan addressed both Katie and Amy as he suggested that he needed to "get the Price family view on Brexit.

“Out, to be honest with you, I hate the fact that we are being told what to do by the EEC, the Europe thing," Amy said.

Amy compared politicians to "school kids in the playground that need sorting out".

Susanna Reid then asked her whether she wanted to "take back control of Britain", to which Amy said that she did.

Amy then went on to compare the roads in Spain and Britain, complaining that Britain paid for their "immaculate" roads while Britain's are riddled with potholes.

“I’ve been to Spain and the roads over there are absolutely immaculate," she said. "All paid for by us. And yet over here in our roads there are potholes everywhere.”

Susanna Reid explained that Amy had been living in Spain for health reasons.

“I’m going back hopefully on Friday," she said. "The dry air is so much better for me, and the warmth.

“I am coughing more here. Whereas over there it’s easier for me to walk more and do more.”

Meanwhile Katie said that she hadn't voted in the referendum because she "doesn't get involved in politics".
