Katie Price's mum Amy Price sobs over funeral plans as she writes goodbye letters to family

Katie Price's mum Amy Price broke down in tears as she spoke today about planning her own funeral.

The 64-year-old mum of three got choked up and wiped away tears as she and her ex-glamour model daughter appeared on the Jeremy Vine show to discuss her terminal lung disease, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Amy admitted she's already written her family goodbye letters, as Katie said it was a good thing that her mum knew she was dying.

"It's not a joke it's a matter of fact. I say to her, 'at least you know you're going to die so you can plan for it'," Katie told the panel.

"We've been advised to make memories, have special moments... because you could just lose someone just like that."

Emotional Amy, who was given five years to live when she was diagnosed in 2017, couldn't stop coughing as Katie recounted how her family hate her talking about their mum's funeral.

"My brother and sister are like, 'Kate don't talk about that', but my mum can plan her own funeral and have it exactly how she wants it," Katie pointed out.

Finding it hard to speak, crying Amy said:"You write letters but I want my funeral to be a good one, because I will be there [in spirit]."

She broke off to wipe the tears off her face, as Katie awkwardly looked on.

"The fact I'm a fighter, I get it from this one," Katie told Jeremy. "When people say I'm outspoken, that's because of my mum."

Amy has recently moved to Spain with husband Paul Price - Katie's stepdad - in the hopes that the warm weather will help her scarred lungs.

Katie and her toyboy Kris Boyson flew out there for a bucket-list holiday with her mum in January, which was filmed for her upcoming reality series My Crazy Life.
