Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion makeover estimated to have cost almost £40k

Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion could have set the bankrupt star back £39,000.

The former glamour model's new Channel 4 series premiered last month, and viewers watched as the mum-of-five took on a huge restoration challenge in her West Sussex home.

Katie, 43 paid £2m for the manor house in 2014 but over recent years it has seen targeted by thieves and been damaged by fire and flood - falling into such despair it became known as the 'Mucky Mansion'.

But in her new show, the star knuckled down to restore her home to its former glory and wow her children with their brand new eye-catching bedrooms.

Interior Experts from Stelrad have estimated the work carried out to turn the Mucky Mansion into a desirable property once again could have totaled £38,918.95.

Katie - who at one point was worth over £45million - currently owes an eye-watering £3.2 million to her creditors, after being declared bankrupt in December 2019.

"The people who have designed Katie Price ’s home have done a fantastic job," the interior experts gushed when explaining how they totted up the estimated price.

"It might have been known as the ‘Mucky Mansion’ previously, but now it is a home that many will dream of. For anyone looking to update their home with a pink theme in mind, then Katie’s should definitely be used as inspiration."

Katie's kitchen needed a lot of work doing to it (Channel 4)

Based on Stelrad's research, the Channel 4 star's biggest expenditure would have been her brand new kitchen.

Thanks to needing things like extensive plumbing work, electrics, appliances and new flooring, the company predicts the total cost of Katie's new cooking area could have set her back £28,900.

While the kitchen was allegedly a pricey job, many of the star's other rooms were possibly transformed at a bargain price.

Based on Stelard's research, Katie's youngest son Jett's jungle themed room could have been the cheapest to jazz up, with a total estimated price of £488 thanks to some items being purchased from the reasonably priced retailer Ikea.

Channel 4 viewers were moved when the former glamour model showed daughter Princess her brand new bedroom on Wednesday night's episode of Katie Price's Mucky Mansion.

Princess - who Katie shares with ex-husband Peter Andre - once refused to stay at the infamous Mucky Mansion, before its extensive makeover.

Speaking on Katie Price's Mucky Mansion, Princess admitted: "I didn't really like this house at the start. It was a dark house. There were just so many bad memories in it."

Katie chimed in saying there was "a lot of heartache" and Princess continued, saying: "I didn't even want to walk on the driveway.

"Before my mum's head was in a bad place but now her heads in a good place, it's a lot better. I'm excited. I didn't think we'd come back here to be honest."

Viewers were delighted to see the star's eldest daughter say she loved her room after its makeover on her mum's latest show.

It's estimated that Princess' pink paradise bedroom could have possibly cost Katie £905.

Stelard's research claims the priciest item in the teenager's space would have been the Princess neon sign which tends to retail at around £100.

The research also predicts the star's living room cost £2049.95, her dining room £3596 and estimates the work done to her reception area to be £2080.

The Mirror has approached representatives for Katie Price regarding the research and estimated prices.
