Katie Price's husband Lee Andrews 'officially declared missing person' amid Dubai border 'kidnapping' fears

Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews has reportedly been declared an official missing person, five days after she last heard from him.

The Dubai-based controversial businessman failed to turn up to their joint Good Morning Britain interview in the UK last Monday, claiming he had “things to do” but was on his way.

Price - who married Andrews in January days after meeting him - said they last spoke on Wednesday night as he travelled through the Oman border in Dubai and has been unable to reach him since.

She shared her fears that he has been “kidnapped” and claimed he was “detained in a van with his hands tied”.

The former glamour model, 47, added that she has spoken to the “head of CID in Dubai” who was unable to find him, but confirmed he had “not been detained”.

Now, it has been reported that Andrews’ family have filed a missing persons report at the British Embassy in Dubai.

“Lee is officially a missing person now. Katie is in constant contact with his family and is desperately worried,” a source told The Sun.

“And she's mortified — she's seen people calling it a stunt and that she must be in on it, but she's absolutely not.

“This is such a worrying, upsetting situation.”

The Standard has contacted Price’s representative for comment.

Andrews - who has faced rumours he has a travel ban - failed to fly to the UK from Dubai last week for the couple’s first live TV interview.

Afterwards, Price said he had made her “look like a d**k” and likened their relationship to the soap opera EastEnders.

In a YouTube update on Saturday, she shared her fears that he had been kidnapped.

“I don't know where to really begin, but I know there is all this speculation about Lee when I met him but something really serious has happened,” the TV personality said.

“I've been forced that I have to say this now. It was put up on my Instagram that Lee was taking time out of socials because of all the trolling and speculation.

“I put that up because the truth is, Lee has been missing for three days. The last time I heard from Lee was Wednesday night at 10pm, he was trying to go through the border in Dubai to get on a flight to me.

“Lee was trying to get through the border at Hatta, this is so discombobulating, his location went off at 10.03pm on Wednesday night, that's the last contact anyone has had – his family and myself. This is the third day now.

“Obviously, he phoned me before the location went off, he's in the middle of nowhere. I'm worried like, ‘What the hell has happened?’”

She went on: “Then Thursday's come, my messages aren't going through. It was just one tick. I was on the phone to his family and they have heard nothing.

“I've had the head of CID in Dubai trying to track Lee, so far I got a message this morning, that no one can find anywhere in the country that Lee has been detained.

“We are now wondering, as far-fetched as it is, that he's a missing person now, I don't know if he's been kidnapped.

”No one can find him in any prison, any police station, the police can't find any record of him. We are wondering if he's been kidnapped, he's definitely a missing person now.

“I'm wondering if he's been kidnapped because he was by the border. The unsettling thing for me, the last time I heard from him, he FaceTimed me, he had a hood on and said ‘I've just been captured or arrested’ and had ties around his hand, not handcuffs, and said ‘they're coming back for me’.

“Then his phone went dead at 10.03pm. Three days, it will be four tomorrow, no contact, no one can find him anywhere.”

She wrote in the caption: “On Wednesday night my husband was detained in a van by the Oman border near Hatta.

“I have not heard from him since, despite getting the authorities involved, nobody knows where he is.”

Last week, Andrews’ ex Alana Percival - who previously urged Price not to “give Andrews any money” - claimed he pulled the same airport “stunt” on her last year as he did to Price.

She shared a video of Andrews at the airport saying he couldn’t come to the UK because of a “flight risk” and claiming he was going to get a refund and look at other flights.

He also proposed to her in an identical way to Price last year, with rose petals and champagne at a hotel in Dubai.

Price and Andrews married in Dubai in January just days after meeting each other.

She described her romance with Andrews as a “wedding at first sight”, revealing they married after initially connecting online.

It comes amid claims that Andrews has been banned from leaving the United Arab Emirates after spending three weeks in a Dubai jail, according to the Daily Mail.

He allegedly forged his former personal trainer partner Dina Taji’s signature to apply for a £200,000 mortgage in her name without her knowledge last year - something he strongly denies.

She found out about his alleged actions after the mortgage company rang her. She has reportedly filed a legal case against him.

According to Dubai law, individuals pending criminal investigations, including unpaid debts or civil lawsuits, are not legally allowed to leave the country.

Andrews has denied that he cannot leave the country.
