Katie Price's Facebook account 'hacked' as it turns into bizarre quotes page

Katie Price has been forced to battle Facebook after hackers stole control of her account and changed it into a page for quotes and memes.

The 41-year-old former glamour model has been locked out of her verified Katie Price account for weeks, and has accused mysterious repeat hackers of taking control of it for the third time.

Katie's rep told Mirror Online: "She's been hacked - we've been trying to get it back via Facebook.

"It's the same hackers that have hacked it three times. They're using the platform for their own use. It's very frustrating."

Katie's account shows it has now been rebranded to Life Quotes, with the url '@Lifeinspo'. Rather than pictures of Katie and her family, it now publishes quotes, memes and other posts designed to boost engagement.

A look at the history of the page shows it has changed its name four times since it was set up in June 2008.

It was first named KATIE PRICE before becoming simply Katie in March 2019, then rebranded to Katie's Life in April last year.

In early December it became KT Life Quotes.

Finally, on December 16 2019 - just a couple of weeks after she was declared bankrupt for not paying off her debts - it changed its name to Life Quotes, dropping any association with the mum of five.

It's not unusual for large accounts to be bought and sold after building up a big audience, although it is against Facebook's terms and conditions.

However, Katie's rep has denied she has flogged off her own account in a bid to make some cash back.

Curiously, the events section of the rebranded page still hosts links to Katie's previous makeup masterclasses and book signings.

More than 2.2million fans have liked the page, although it's unclear whether this has risen or fallen since the alleged hackers took over.

Mirror Online has contacted the page's admin team for comment.
