Katie Price's ex-husband was reportedly not told that she was jetting out to Las Vegas to marry Carl Woods.
The 43-year-old former glamour model has been posting pics on social media of her time in the United States with fiance Carl, 32, amid reports that they have obtained their marriage licence in Las Vegas.
The reality star's ex husband, Kieran Hayler was reportedly in the dark about her decision to marry for a fourth time, and he has been left to tell the two children they share that Carl will be their new stepdad.
Kieran was Katie's third husband, marrying in 2013 before finalising their divorce earlier this year following being separated for two years.
They share Jett, eight, and Bunny, seven, and Kieran is reportedly "surprised" to hear that Katie has picked up a marriage licence in Las Vegas yesterday.
Sources close to Katie's ex husband have told The Sun : "Kieran was as surprised as anyone else. He suspected Katie was planning something when she flew to Vegas, but she didn’t tell him directly
“He’ll have to speak to Bunny and Jett about how Carl is their new step-dad and how their mum got married again.
"Even though Katie and Carl are engaged, I think a lot of people are surprised at her decision to get married without their families there.”
The Mirror has contacted Katie Price's representatives for comment.
Carl has posted a number of snaps on his Instagram Story that shows the couple have driven out to the Grand Canyon, where they were taking breakfast looking over the breathless sights.
Katie's fiancé reportedly planned their Vegas trip as a surprise after she came out of rehab.
Katie had been at The Priory after pleading guilty to drink driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
A source said: "Carl has been working in secret to make this trip happen for himself and Katie...
"From the beginning of their relationship they've wanted to get married and now is the perfect time for them to make it official.
"Katie has done the big white wedding before and while this is Carl's first marriage, he wants their day together to be exactly what she's dreamed of, while he also sees the States as his second home.
"Katie was in shock after Carl told her hours before they were jetting off to Vegas and so they can finally get hitched – it's the distraction she's needed after months of upset."
