Katie Price's on-off boyfriend threatened to crack a police officer's jaw after a row with a photographer, a court has heard.

Kris Boyson allegedly accused the Pc of being "fake" and threatened to hit him, forcing the officer to draw his pepper spray.

The 31-year-old fitness instructor, of Gravesend, Kent, appeared at Medway Magistrates Court in Chatham on Thursday charged with threatening behaviour.

Prosecutor Piers Restell told the court how Boyson became agitated with Pc Blundell when he thought had been taking pictures outside his home. Boyson told the officer: "I am going to break your jaw", Mr Restell said.

The court heard that at about 7am on October 11 last year, “members of the paparazzi” were at Boyson’s home to take photographs of Price.

Mr Restell said Boyson approached the two photographers and shouted at them, demanding they delete the photographs, to which they complied and handed over memory cards.

One of the photographers called the police when Boyson became “aggressive and did not believe that the memory cards contained all the photographs they had taken”, the court heard.

Mr Restell said when Pc Paul Blundell arrived on scene, he "heard a male later identified as Mr Boyson shout 'grab that phone off him'" and saw Boyson "shouting at him for taking pictures".

Pc Blundell pulled out his warrant card but he said Boyson then threatened to hit him, the court was told.

Mr Restell continued: “He pulled out his pepper spray. Again he showed Mr Boyson his warrant card and Mr Boyson then proceeded to photograph his warrant card. He did this because he said that Pc Blundell was a “fake police officer”.”

In an effort to calm Boyson down, Pc Blundell showed him his mobile phone’s picture gallery to prove that no photographs had been taken, the court heard.

But Boyson then told him: “I am going to break your jaw” and stepped towards him, Mr Restell said. More uniformed officers arrived and Boyson was arrested.

Boyson and Ms Price have been together on and off since they met in May 2018. On Tuesday, Ms Price was declared bankrupt at a court hearing in London, with the ex-glamour model once said to be worth £40m.
