Katie Price reveals team of eight doctors worked to save son Harvey

Katie Price has revealed that a team of eight doctors treated her son Harvey when he was rushed to hospital earlier this month.

18-year-old Harvey, who has the rare genetic condition Prader-Willi syndrome, was admitted to intensive care after suffering breathing difficulties and a high temperature.

The former glamour model confirmed over the weekend that Harvey has “improved” and has been moved out of the ICU.

Speaking to New magazine about her son’s illness, she explained: “Normally when people are rushed to hospital they go to the emergency room, but Harvey went straight to the resuscitation room.

“Suddenly eight doctors were around him.”

She added that while “normally the parent isn’t allowed in the room,” Harvey, who is also autistic and partially blind, needed her nearby.

“Obviously you can't talk to Harvey like you'd talk to us, so I think they realised very quickly they needed me in there,” she said.

"The hospital staff have been amazing with him. They've found some things but until he comes out and it's all properly confirmed, I don't want to say anything."

Sharing a series of photos of herself with her son on Instagram last weekend, Price praised Harvey as “incredibly strong and brave” and said that his time in hospital has been “so difficult.”

She also thanked her followers for “your support and lovely messages.”

She later posted a sweet video showing her and her two youngest children Bunny and Jett visiting their brother in hospital, with Bunny singing a nursery rhyme to Harvey.
