Katie Price quits social media while enjoying romantic Thailand holiday with Carl Woods

Katie Price has quit social media after issuing a cryptic statement earlier today.

The former glamour model is currently enjoying a romantic trip to Thailand with fiancé Carl Woods, and was even spotted trying on wedding dresses throughout the trip. Katie, 44, took to Instagram and wrote: "I will be coming off all social media for a period of time. I need to take time off for personal reasons. Thank you to all my loyal fans for always supporting me XXX"

Katie removed the option to comment on the post but it has already wracked up thousands of likes. The mother of five issued the statement to her 2.7million followers on both her main Instagram page and her Instagram Stories.

This social media update comes after Katie cancelled a string of upcoming make-up masterclasses in England this week. She is yet to reveal the reasons behind the cancellations, as she remains in Thailand on holiday.

Katie jetted off to the sunny destination with her on again off again partner Carl after her speeding charge was dropped on the day she was due in court. She was charged with exceeding the 60mph limit on September 13 last year - but the case was dropped.

Writing on social media on Wednesday, one venue which was due to host her latest makeup masterclass said the star's event had been postponed and they are currently awaiting news from Katie's team for further updates. "We have received notice that the Katie Price MakeUp event scheduled for Sunday 10th July has been postponed," The Tanning Beauty Lounge Saltash explained to their Facebook followers.

"As we are only the location where the event is being held, this is completely out of our control. We are unable to confirm when the new date will be, we are waiting on word for the event organisers." They added: "Once we have heard from Katie’s team, we will pop up a little update on our Facebook page. Just a little reminder that the event is not organised or being ran by us, we are just the venue, and have no say over the event details whatsoever."

Katie was spotted trying on numerous wedding dresses during her Thai break, as fans are expecting her and Carl to tie the knot very soon. The two boarded their flight to Thailand just hours after learning she would not be caged for sending a "vile and nasty" message to her ex's fiancée.

She breached a restraining order by calling Kieran Hayler's partner Michelle Penticost a "gutter s**g". She messaged ex-husband Kieran Hayler: "Tell your c****** w***e, piece of s**t, girlfriend not to start on me. She has a restraining order so shouldn't try to antagonise me as she is in breach and I'm sure she doesn't want people knowing that she was having an affair with you behind my back. That gutter s**g."

After the verdict as announced, Katie and Carl jetted straight off to the sunshine for their romantic break. Since arriving, the couple have posted racy photos on their OnlyFans account, including sexy sunbathing snaps and an X-rated image from their hotel.

However, by posting the explicit content they are running the risk of breaching the strict anti-pornography laws in Thailand, where publishing "obscene" content is punishable by up to five years in prison and a 100,000-baht (£2,300) fine - or both.
