Katie Price quits Celebrity SAS after just 48 hours in £120,000 gig

Katie Price has quit her big comeback gig on Celebrity SAS after just 48 hours.

The former glamour model, 41, found the process too difficult and has already left Raasay Island in Scotland where the gruelling show is filmed.

She was being paid £120,000 for her brief stint on the show.

It was meant to be her opportunity to relaunch her struggling career and boost her finances.

A source told Mirror Online: "Katie was relying on this to turn her career around and show the public she can reinvent herself in a similar way to how she did in the Jungle back in 2004.

"She had all her hair braided to enable her to get really stuck in, but when she discovered she was going to be in Scotland she lost all motivation."

A source close to Katie denies this, and says she always knew she'd be filming in Scotland.

Our insider added: "She says she's not bothered about the money but how can she not be?

"She wont let on if she quit but she definitely quit in her mind and would have given up so she was kicked off."

The Channel 4 show sees celeb contestants get gruelling military training.

Katie was hoping it would help her win back the hearts of the public.

But our insider said she was thrilled when the boat arrived to take her home.

They added: "Katie has a real fear of the water but was happy when she was put on a boat and sent home.

"Everyone had high expectations for her, but to last only two days makes people think she done it just for the money."

Mirror Online has contacted Katie's reps for comment.
