Katie Price puts £6k worth of dresses on eBay to raise funds for domestic abuse charity

Katie Price is generously donating more than £6,000 worth of her treasured garments to help raise funds for victims of domestic abuse.

The former glamour model and mum-of-five, 41, is doing her bit for the OK! Closet Clear Out by putting some of her favourite items up for auction, along with many other famous faces.

Katie's fans can bid on her items for sale on eBay and all proceeds will go towards the domestic abuse charity Refuge.

Other celebrities who are taking part include Kym Marsh, Christine McGuinness, Lacey Turner and Dame Joan Collins.

She has given away some of her favourite dresses, including four incredible pieces by Julia Suzuki - which are red carpet ready.

All four dresses boast brilliant designs and lots of colour and sequins, perfect for partying when lockdown is over.

Katie says she is "delighted" to be involved in Refuge's campaign in a time of need.

Speaking to OK! the reality star revealed it's "especially important" to come together and watch out for those who are vulnerable in lockdown.

She added: "Please dig deep, enjoy raiding my closet with me and help raise loads of money to protect those who need it most in this changeling time."

Katie is determined to "help the real heroes and save lives".

The fundraiser has allowed celebrities and fans to support Refuge from their homes.

Kym Marsh recently explained it's given her something to do in lockdown, and even revealed how she was surprised to find some of her clothing still had the tags on.

"While we're in lockdown, we're all getting around to doing those things," she said while on Good Morning Britain from her home.

"We're getting around to clearing out the closet, clearing out the wardrobe and it did give me a really good reason to start digging.

"So the idea is... celebrities are donating several items from their own wardrobes which will go to auction."

The OK! Closet Clear Out is being supported by a number of celebrities (OK!)

Kym added: "Charities at the moment are really suffering because there just isn't the money and people don't have the money they would normally have.

"We aren't able to go out and do those normal charity things and big charity events.

"It's a great thing that OK! are doing this because it is something we can do in our own homes."
