On I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, she chomped on cockroaches, burst a fish eye between her teeth and – worst of all – met her future husband Peter Andre.
But Katie Price says her two stints in the jungle were like a “holiday camp” compared to Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, where celebs attempt to pass toughSAS selection.
Katie, 41, quit the remote Scottish island after a few days, saying a breast reduction operation prior to filming had hindered her physically.
“I knew I was in trouble from the minute we arrived ‘somewhere in outer Scotland’,” she moans. “I hate the cold, I have a phobia of water.
“The jungle was a holiday camp in comparison – there was definitely no time for any romance.”
Katie also admits she found it a “challenge” to bite her tongue while being shouted at by tough man Ant Middleton.
She did find time to bond with fellow contestant Anthea Turner, who she hails for not being a “stuck-up prude”.
Anthea, the show’s oldest contestant, resented the nickname given to her by SAS man Ant, 39, who regularly bellowed at her: “Come on, grandma!”
Anthea, 59, grumbles: “I remember looking at him and thinking, ‘I am actually old enough to have given birth to you. I’m not your grandma – but I can be your mum’.
“Maturity helps in situations like this because I hadn’t gone in there to reaffirm things about myself. The elixir of youth is not in a pot of cream, it’s your attitude.”
