Katie Price loses £107k on perfume business after outsource firm goes bust

Katie Price was even deeper in the smelly stuff last night after losing tens of thousands on her perfume business.

Fans once flocked to buy the former glamour model’s money-spinning scents which included the “seductively feminine” Besotted plus Stunning, Kissable and Precious Love.

But the firm she out-sourced the perfumes to went bust – just like her own company Jordan Trading.

Liquidators trying to sort out the mess at Katie’s firm claimed that the perfume company Jigsaw International – which also created fragrances for reality stars Amy Childs and Calum Best – owed her £132,000.

But all they have been able to recover is £25,000.

That’s exactly the amount that Loose Women star Katie, 41, was ordered to pay by a judge on Friday to her ex-husband Alex Reid for leaking lurid details of their sex life.

In the High Court, Mr Justice Warby said: “He has been mocked and denigrated as a sexual deviant and predator.”
But ex-cagefighter Alex, 44, is unlikely to see much of the award because he is in a long line of creditors demanding their cash from Katie, who was once worth £40million.

On top of that, the accountants unravelling her financial woes are charging £325 an hour.

The mum-of-five’s total debts across her business interests and two mortgages on the West Sussex home she bought for £1.3million are more than £2 million.

Despite her problems, including her sick mum Amy, never-say-die Katie is running master classes in make-up in London.

Away from her financial issues, Katie seems to have turned her recent social media break into a more-permanent exit.

The former glamour model who boasted over two million Instagram followers, deleted her account on the photo and video-sharing social networking site on Thursday.

The reality TV personality often used the application to advertise her business ventures and to endorse products such as weight-loss tea.

On February 18 Katie announced to fans that she was "taking a break" from the "horrible" online world after former Love Island presenter Caroline Flack took her own life at the age of 40 .

The busty star seems to have found time away from social media beneficial and as a result decided to disable her Instagram account - but it won't be forever, a source close to the star has shared.

"Katie's Instagram with a following of over 2million has today been disabled," a pal told MailOnline.

"Following on from her last emotional post Katie has made the move to disable her account.

"Katie will be returning to social media but not until she is ready to do so."

The mother-of-five's final Instagram post read: "I've decided to take a break from this horrible media world.

"I'm absolutely heart broken... I'm having a dramatic change in my life for the better.

"I don't want to have to read or see anything in the press about me, my family & friends or my exes.

"This has all got to stop!"

Katie finished the post by saying her social media silence wouldn't be forever.

"I'll be back when I'm ready," she added.

Katie has not posted on her Twitter account since January 31 and she last uploaded a video onto her YouTube channel two months ago.
