Katie Price laughs at UK's Eurovision fail and says she wants to sing in 2022

Katie Price has been inspired to make a fresh bid for Eurovision success after watching the UK crash out of the competition last night.

The mum-of-five, who turned 43 yesterday, was watching the singing show at home with her fiancé Carl Woods when she told fans that she wanted a second shot at representing Great Britain.

She said: "That's actually funny. I reckon they should put me up to Eurovision, in a black catsuit this time. I'd smash it."

The Pricey's 2005 Eurovision audition has become stuff of legend, with the then-heavily pregnant star being compared to a 'condom' as she belted out her entry, Not Just Anybody, in a bright pink latex catsuit.

It was widely panned, and she was described as not only looking awful but sounding it, too.

It seems like Carl also shared the same opinion of his future wife's catchy but tuneless bop.

Should Katie Price represent the UK at Eurovision 2022? Tell us in the comments below!

Last night he could be seen goading her about her failed attempt, poking fun at 'loser' James Newman, too.

He said: "I can't believe there's a geezer who's done worse than you on this programme."

In 2016, Katie spoke about her Eurovision embarrassment on Loose Women, revealing she had lied about being weeks away from giving birth so that she could take part.

She said: "You'll all probably remember because I looked absolutely ridiculous, I looked like a pink condom."

Katie Price had hid that she was seven months pregnant when she took to the stage (PA)

As a shot of the mum-of-five was shown in a glittery pink ensemble she added: "Oh my god. What is my hair?! I was seven months pregnant in that and I never told anybody."

"I was offered a record deal to do Eurovision, I can't sing that song now and I couldn't even sing it then. It's the cringiest thing.

"But I was live on TV and I will never forget this, I was interviewed by Jenni Falconer and she said to me that 'we've had lots of callers asking if you are pregnant?'. I was like thinking 'Oh my god, because I am'."

Katie lost to Javine Hilton and her song Touch My Fire by one per cent.

But although she wondered if she lost votes because she admitted to being pregnant, she later admitted it was because she knew it was simply because she wasn't good enough.

She laughed: "It was rubbish. It was absolutely rubbish. It was so cringe, if anybody ever played that, I would be like [covered her ears]. Awful."
