Katie Price hopes to buy house in Ireland after accepting award from Trinity College

Katie Price has revealed her heart is set on buying a home in Ireland after she was given an award from Trinity College.

The former glamour model and businesswoman jetted into Dublin to accept a gold medal of honorary patronage from the University's Philosophical Society.

She was spotted on campus last week with boyfriend Kris Boyson and her two youngest children Bunny, five, and Jett, six.

Katie, 41, also filmed scenes for her popular reality show My Crazy Life while in Dublin.

Speaking to Glenda Gilson on Ireland AM, Katie said she was "honoured" to receive the award.

She said: "I never thought I'd get it here. You'd think in England they might recognise it.

"I was honoured to get that. I had to double take when I read the letter. I thought, 'really? They want me up here?'

"I feel like an A-lister today up here with Al Pacino, Helen Mirren and all of that."

And she told how she could see herself living and working in Ireland in the not-too-distant future.

Katie said: "Well it's weird actually because I keep saying... Although people know me over here, I haven't really done any work over here, I've done some of the late night shows."

The mum-of-five added: "I'd actually get a house here and stay the weekends and I'd come over here for work."

"I like to be busy, I like to work so hopefully I'll be over here more."
