Katie Price 'fuming' as Harvey's dad Dwight Yorke fails to reach out after BBC show

Katie Price was reportedly feeling let down by Harvey's dad Dwight Yorke after he failed to reach out following their touching BBC One documentary.

The 42-year-old former glamour model has maintained that the door is always open for Dwight, but so far is yet to hear from the footballer.

The former Manchester United footballer has not been in contact with his son, 18, for over a decade.

Last night, Katie was praised by viewers after her documentary, Harvey and Me, aired on BBC1.

However a source close to the mum of five explained to The Sun that Katie had been hopeful it might have encouraged Dwight to reach out.

“Katie hasn’t heard from Dwight, and she’s fuming about it - but as always, has left the door open for him to get in contact in the future,” the insider said.

“She doesn’t expect much from Dwight given that he’s ignored Harvey for a long time, but part of her thought he might see the show and get in contact.”

Katie's rep also revealed to the publication that it didn't really come as a surprise.

“Katie is sadly somewhat resolved to this being the usual outcome - Katie has made it quite clear however that the door will always be open to change that at any time,” the rep told the publication.

A representative for Dwight Yorke has been contacted by The Mirror for comment.

Harvey has Prader-Willi Syndrome, is autistic and partially blind, and was born with Septo-optic Dysplasia.

At the time of his birth, Dwight actually denied paternity before a DNA test proved that he was Harvey's biological father.

While Dwight did briefly reconcile his relationship with his son, he eventually walked out and has not seen his son since he was about four years old.

Speaking to The Sun ahead of her latest documentary, Katie had actually expressed hopes that Dwight might watch the show and want to reconnect.

She said at the time: "I would love Dwight to watch the documentary and reach out to Harvey. I’ve always said the door is open for Dwight when he wants to get in touch.

"At the end of the day Harvey has done nothing wrong, he’s innocent."
