Katie Price fumes as she claims scammers are targeting her 'hardworking fans'

Katie Price has urged scammers to 'get a real job' after she outed a crooked company that she claims was trying to get money from her fans.

The 43-year-old former glamour model took to social media to reveal that a marketing agency had tried to falsely claim that Katie would be attending an upcoming event.

According to Katie, the marketing group had announced that she would be opening a summer soiree in London.

In her lengthy statement, Katie confirmed that she had never spoken to the marketing agency, was not planning to attend and branded the ploy as 'fake advertising'.

She also furiously hit out at the agency and warned fans to 'reconsider' if they had sponsored or invested in the event.

In her Instagram story, she wrote: "Announcement concerning the Summer Soiree event at Kraft, Dalston on 10th August. I have no involvement in this event.

"I have never been contracted to be involved with this event. I will not be opening this event. I will not be attending this event!

"And if you have been encouraged to sponsor, invest or attend this event because of my involvement, you should reconsider or contact the organisers!

She added: "Finally, I have NEVER spoken with or engaged with Sainty Marketing or Amy Gillin! This is fake advertising!"

Sharing a link to the story on her Twitter, Katie also urged the scammers to 'get a real job' instead of stealing.

She added: "Goodbye scammers go get a real job, rather than stealing honest people's money!"

A representative for Katie Price has been approached by The Mirror for comment. It also appears that the marketing agency has removed all of their online presence.

Katie's rep also confirmed to The Sun that the television star had shared the information on social media immediately in an attempt to warn her fans.

"It was brought to our attention that by false advertising a company was 'selling sponsorship'' under false pretence of Katie headlining an event," her agent revealed.

"Katie immediately shared this information putting it up across her social media to expose, warn and protect anyone who has been approached by this woman or said company that is no longer trading."

It is unfortunately not the first time that Katie and her fans were targeted by scammers.

Just less than a week ago, it was revealed that some of Katie's fans had been conned out of thousands by a rogue trader that Katie had promoted on social media.

Addressing the ordeal on social media, Katie revealed that she was 'devastated' after learning that he had been a conman.

She said at the time: "I am absolutely devastated to receive the news about this rogue trader Josh Chandler, if that’s even his real name, he has conned not only me but my family, friends, loyal fans and supporters."
