Katie Price has been looking noticeably slimmer in recent weeks, and now the 47-year-old reality star has opened up about the medical issues behind her weight loss. Price revealed that doctors are running tests to rule out cancer, which she fears may have returned years after she was first diagnosed.
The TV personality was previously treated for leiomyosarcoma, a rare type of soft tissue cancer that developed on her finger. After having the tumor removed, she spent six years under close medical monitoring before being given the all clear. But lately, Price has admitted she is worried the disease may be making a comeback.
Her candid revelation came just before she was spotted out in public for the first time since addressing her health fears. Dressed in a fitted grey vest and matching joggers with a black jumper tied around her waist, she stepped out to kick off her stage tour with Kerry Katona in Fleetwood, Lancashire. On stage, she spoke openly about the breakdown of her marriage to Peter Andre. She was also seen with bruising around her eye and ear, which she explained were the results of a recent facelift.

Speaking to her sister Sophie on their podcast The Katie Price Show, she reflected on her earlier cancer battle. “Another thing that’s really weird, you know when I had cancer years ago,” she said. “For some who didn’t know, when I was pregnant with Harvey I got cancer, called leiomyosarcoma.”
She described how doctors twice removed the tumor from her finger, leaving a visible scar. “If you look at my finger, there is like a hole there and a scar there, I had it cut out twice. Can you see that dent? It never hurt. But a lump started coming up and I thought I had been riding and done something to my finger,” she explained.
That experience left her with years of MRI scans until doctors finally cleared her. Now, the same finger is causing her new concern. “The same finger here, up here, this is about three weeks ago, I thought, have I knocked it? Because it hurts when I push it but there’s no lump. And it still hasn’t gone. So I’m going to get that X-rayed and looked at so I hope it’s not that again.”
Her worries deepened as she admitted the pain has not subsided. “This better not be my bad news, and get bad results, because all this is happening, and then normally in my life something good happens and then something bad happens. Let’s hope it’s nothing bad.”
Doctors have also been running blood tests to check for other health problems. Price said she was told her platelet levels are very low, which may explain her recent weight loss. “I’ve had my bloods done, and I’ve got really really low platelets and I thought that was low iron, and it’s not. And that could be a reason why maybe I’ve got thinner. I’m tired, no energy,” she said.
She added that her doctors suggested a blood transfusion might be necessary if her platelet count does not improve. “They said it can affect that and I think you might have to have a blood transfusion to get them back up again. So I’ve got to go back and have my bloods done again.”
Price, who rose to fame as a glamour model under the name Jordan, has never shied away from sharing her struggles with the public. But her latest health scare has left her fans concerned, as she waits anxiously for results that could bring back a battle she thought was behind her.
