Katie Price has defended travelling to a red list country during a pandemic to have cosmetic surgery.
The mum-of-five appeared on Good Morning Britain on Friday to chat to hosts Kate Garraway and Alastair Campbell about her latest bout of surgery.
Mum-of-two Kate was keen to ask the former glamour model about why she decided to fly to Turkey, despite it being on the government's red list.
Defending her decision, Katie said that it was necessary for her to have the surgery done because she's booked up for work this summer, including filming another documentary.
“I’m working, I’m doing my YouTube, I’ve had two Covid jabs, done all my PCR tests. You have to follow the protocol, you can’t be silly," she said.

“So I knew by going to a red country, I’d literally be in a hospital, I wasn’t mixing with anyone else, it was literally hospital, then we flew to an amber country and stayed in a villa in the middle of the hill away from everyone and then came home, we didn’t muck about at all, it’s serious."
But the Good Morning Britain resident doctor, Dr Amir Khan replied: “I think it’s important that you’re open about it, I think it’s great that you’ve shown people what the reality of cosmetic surgery is.

"There’s lots of different reasons people will have cosmetic surgery and it has to be done safely, but travelling to a red country, Katie?
"I’m not sure I would say that’s a good idea for plastic surgery," he added.
"For me, it’s my work and I want to feel good on camera. I did it safely and I’ve had two jabs," she argued.
But viewers at home were having none of it, and took to Twitter to comment.

"Katie Price, having surgery in Turkey is not a life and death procedure. You've had a bloody holiday against covid procedures and used it for more surgery.
"That's why you're defensive. Your mother is terminally ill, you know you're wrong," one person claimed.
Another viewer fumed: "Honestly I’m done trying to understand this show. What was the point of that Katie Price segment? Apart from being a slap in the face to those who actually follow the rules #GMB."

A third noted: "@DrAmirKhanGP your eyes said it all! Think the red list country comment was totally missed but good on you for trying. We love you. #GMB #katieprice."
However some viewers defended Katie, with one tweeting: "Go on @KatiePrice you have done nothing wrong, you had 2 jabs & paid for all the testing so why not fly? Two fingers up to the haters girl ps you look amazing. #katieprice #GMB."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
