Katie Price could potentially spend Christmas in prison following a crash near her home in Sussex on Tuesday.
The former glamour model, 43, appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court, the day following the smash, and pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
During her court appearance it was revealed that she will be sentenced for the crimes on December 15 - therefore, if she is handed jail time that could mean the mother-of-five will be locked up over the festive period.
Chair of the bench Julie Hutton decided to delay the Page 3 icon being sentenced in order to allow the TV personality to have treatment at the Priory Centre - a rehab facility that Katie previously spent 28 days at in 2018.
Hutton handed Katie an interim driving ban during the time before her sentencing and clearly warned her: “We regularly send people to prison for driving whilst disqualified.”
Katie was told she must also engage with the probation service so a report can be prepared.
Ms Hutton told her: “On that basis, Ms Price, you are free to go and good luck at the Priory.
Earlier this week, Price was involved in a single-car collision that left her BMW flipped on its side on the B2135 near Partridge Green.
Yesterday, a court heard that after being confronted by police at the scene, Price was heard saying “I took drugs, I should not be driving, I admit it all."
A drugs wipe gave a positive reading for cocaine, prosecutor Debbie Jones told the court.
Defence solicitor Joe Harrington, representing Katie, described the driving as a 'one off' incident and said Katie feeling lonely at home and decided to visit a friend.
"She has had a lot of personal problems recently," he told the court.
"Currently she is in the process of bankruptcy proceedings, so her house may be repossessed.
"So, quite a lot going on in this lady’s life, a really difficult period.
"As I understand it, she had been drinking, she was lonely, and she decided to go and see a friend who lived a relatively short distance away and that is when the incident happened.”
Sussex Police confirmed Price was charged following a crash near her home in Sussex on Tuesday.
A Sussex Police statement said: " Katie Price, 43, Horsham, was charged with using a motor vehicle on a public place without third party insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
"She was remanded in custody and will appear at Crawley Remand Court on Wednesday 29 September)."
On Tuesday morning, Katie was taken to hospital following the car crash in West Sussex.
