Katie Price compares broken feet to I'm A Celeb's David Ginola's near-fatal heart attack
The former Newcastle United footballer opened up on last night's show about his terrifying ordeal.
Five years ago, while playing a charity football match in France, David, 54, said he "passed away for 12 minutes".
When Naughty Boy asked him if it was true that something happened to him, David opened up.
He said: "Just playing football and at one stage you just fall on the floor. So they had to perform CPR for 12 minutes and they arrived with the defibrillator and they shocked me one time, two times, three times… they said, 'I think your friend is dead.'
"A fourth, fifth time… the fifth time, a heartbeat. Yeah… the surgeon said, 'You’ve been very lucky David, it’s a miracle. In your condition 9 out of 10 would have died'."
He added: "When you come back from that you just have your mind full of questions; 'Is it a message, am I going back for a second life for a purpose?' Because when you’re fighting, when you’re dead, you’re at the crossroads… there’s life and death."
Speaking in a video on her Instagram page, Katie compared the terrifying incident to the time she broke her feet after jumping over a wall on holiday in Turkey.
She said at the time that she'd jumped the wall, not realising there was a 25ft drop on the other side.
Both her feet were left broken and she needed surgery to repair them.
She had to use a wheelchair to get around for a while and needed physical therapy to walk again.
Although it was quite the ordeal, Katie's fans were less than impressed that she compared the two things.
She said in her review video of the ITV show: "I can't believe about David Ginola's heart. I mean, wow, he's so lucky to be alive!
"Just imagine that happening, you just can't, and the way he says it like, it's unbelievable that he's still here and it's brilliant that he's lived to tell the tale and he's lived on.
"So like with David, obviously it's a different kind of accident, like I'm lucky to be alive with my feet - falling off that wall."
One person commented: "“i’m lucky to be alive with like my feet” …. WHAT?!! David Ginola collapsed with a heart attack and was clinically dead for 12 minutes… How on earth is there any parallel to be found here? Am I missing something ?"
"LOL..... Lucky to be alive with your feet ...Donut," another posted.
A third commented: "You cud of died wen you injured your feet .???stop comparing that to someone who has heart issues"
And another wrote: "Oh so she fell off the wall??? I thought she Jumped off not realising the 25foot drop !! You need to have a great memory if you’re a liar!!"
Not everyone felt that way though, with many happy to see Katie chatting about the show she herself took part in back in 2004.
One told her: "Well done Katie for giving support you were incredible in the jungle"
