Katie Price bought a mobility scooter to get back on the road during driving ban

Katie Price bought herself a bright pink mobility scooter in a bid to get back on the road during her driving ban.

The former glamour girl, 41, was handed a three-month ban earlier this year after being convicted of being drunk while in charge of her pink Range Rover.

Katie had been found slumped in the back seat of the vehicle back in October and insisted a mystery man had been driving.

She was so worried about being left without transport, Katie splashed out on a mobility scooter - often used by the elderly and disabled - in a bid to get around the ban.

During a tour of her huge home in West Sussex on her new YouTube channel, Katie showed off the scooter.

She said: "The reason I bought this was cos when I was banned from driving, I thought there's no way they're stopping me going on the road.

"So I got one of these, got it done pink, put a bigger engine in it..."

However, Katie's scooter days were numbered as it got a flat tyre and she never bothered having it fixed.

She added: "Unfortunately I went off-roading and got a flat tyre so it actually doesn't work so now it juts collects cobwebs."

It comes after Katie revealed plans to get rid of her infamous pink cars because they get her "into trouble."

The model has a fleet of garish motors customised in her favourite shade - including a £75K Range Rover and a Fiat Ducato horsebox - but will soon be a thing of the past.

Speaking in an interview with Flex FM on Thursday, Katie announced it was time to make a change.

When quizzed about her vehicles, Katie said: "My pink cars are going because they get me into trouble."

Back in February, Katie was banned from driving for three months after being convicted of being nearly twice the legal limit while in charge of her pink Range Rover.

The £75,000 car was found crashed in a bush following a party to celebrate Kris Boyson's 30th birthday.

Katie had tried to argue she was not in control of the 4x4 in the early hours of October and a mystery man had driven, but the judge ruled Katie was not a 'credible' witness.

He found her guilty of being in charge of the vehicle while over the legal limit but ordered a charge of drink-driving to be dropped.

The three month driving ban was added to another from earlier in the year where Katie was summoned to court for getting behind the wheel while disqualified and uninsured.

Katie was spotted driving a Ford Fiesta near her Sussex home, later claiming she wrongly believed that an earlier road ban for speeding had expired.

Paul Macaulay, defending Katie at Crawley Magistrates' Court in January, said his client was by her own admission 'not the best' at paperwork.

The mum-of-five was was disqualified for a further three months and fined £1,100.

Katie was given 14 days to settle the bill after telling the judge she was not able to pay the full amount on the day.
