Katie Price ‘blindsided’ by Alex Reid’s cash video as she plans her response

Katie Price is reportedly “seeking legal advice” after her ex-husband Alex Reid shared a video of her counting cash on social media.

The clip, posted by the former cage fighter, 50, appeared to show Price, who was declared bankrupt in 2019, holding a wad of notes.

The footage sparked fresh headlines just days after Price exchanged words publicly with another ex, Peter Andre, who accused her of making “baseless lies” about him.

Friends of Price, 47, told The Sun she had been “blindsided” by Reid’s video but was determined to handle the situation calmly.

The insider told the outlet: “This isn’t the first time Katie’s ex-husbands and partners have ganged up on her, but the last time it happened, it drove her over the edge and we were all seriously worried about her. This time around though, she is in a completely different place.”

According to those close to her, Price is adopting a measured approach.

“Her feeling is, if Alex Reid wants to create a drama to get himself some attention, then good for him,” the friend added.

“Instead she is doing the sensible thing, she has taken legal advice and is biding her time. She is aware that Alex has threatened to say more about her in the coming days and weeks, but she has been here before many times and is taking it in her stride.”

The Standard has contacted Katie Price’s representative for comment.

Reid’s video is said to have been prompted by comments made by Price’s team in recent statements.

A source close to the former MMA fighter told The Sun he had grown frustrated, claiming his own work opportunities diminished after their split, while Price continued to enjoy a high-profile lifestyle while he lived “month to month”.

The report come amid renewed tensions between Andre and Price, who claimed on her podcast that she was banned from appearing in the series.

The Mysterious Girl hit-maker later issued a rare public statement firing back at his former spouse’s remarks about their children.

“For 16 years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today,” he wrote on Instagram.

He said Princess and her brother Junior had lived with him since 2018 under a legally binding family court order made the following year, and insisted he had avoided going public with the arrangement out of respect for them.

Price subsequently responded with a social media post reflecting on her past struggles with addiction, mental health, and relationships.

Soon after, footage leaked by Reid, showed her waving cash and calling Andre’s younger children with wife Emily “irrelevant” in front of Princess.

A source told the Mirror that Andre was “shocked” by the video, adding: “It’s not about the money. How could a mother do that about young children?”
