Katie Price blames bankruptcy on 'two people from past' and gives Mucky Mansion update

Katie Price has blamed her bankruptcy on two people in her past - as she vows they'll never be able to take her Mucky Mansion.

The model was declared bankrupt in 2019 and had previously agreed to pay her creditors in £12,000 monthly instalments. The star, who was at one point was worth over £45million, has still been enjoying lavish holidays and cosmetic surgeries in recent months.

She appeared on The Jeremy Vine Show on Channel 5 today to discuss her boob jobs, bankruptcy and renovating her Mucky Mansion, as she brazenly discussed her recent trips to Thailand as she reunited with Carl Woods.

Responding to claims she went on holiday despite her bankruptcy, she said: "I went to Thailand and I was there for a month, but I was still working when I was there so it wasn't really a holiday. I can work anywhere."

Asked more about her bankruptcy, she added: "I think you shouldn't be ashamed if you have a bankruptcy because it's for different reasons people go into a bankruptcy. I went through a really tough time in the last few years with my mental health.

"When you go through that, you put things to the side because you can't cope with anything. I'm proud that I've come to the other end. It's life isn't it, sometimes you have to face these things but I'm happy and I'm in a good position. It is what it is."

Katie went on to explain the bankruptcy was related to two specific people.

"The bankruptcy is to do with two people in my past, that's what it's about - and you just have to deal with it," she added.

However, she squashed rumours that her Mucky Mansion home would ever be taken away.

"My house is safe. They always say oh her house is going to be [taken away] but it's nothing to do with my house. They could never take it away, it's completely safe," she explained on The Jeremy Vine Show.

Katie previously opened up about her mental health, explaining how she struggles to leave the house.

She said: "This is why I hate leaving the house, stuff like this proves I'm not paranoid it really does happen. If you're going to take a picture at least let me see you and do it to my face it's when they hide and do it, it's creepy. This is why I like to make my home, my home, don't like to go anywhere because I get stalked like that. It just ruins the day."
