Katie Price arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after horror crash

Katie Price has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and taken to hospital following a car crash in West Sussex.

The former Page 3 star - who last appeared in public on TV on Monday's GMB - is currently receiving care in hospital.

Following the car accident on Tuesday morning, Katie, 43, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman told The Mirror: "Police responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision on the B2135 near Partridge Green around 6.20am on Tuesday (September 28).

"A woman, 43, was arrested on suspicion of driving while above the legal limit for alcohol and drugs, and has been taken to hospital to be checked over."

A photo from the scene shows a car rolled on its side and partially in the bushes that line the side of the narrow road.

A source told The Sun : "Katie rolled her car and was in a bad way when police arrived.

"She's in hospital now and everyone is desperately worried about her."

The Mirror has reached out to Katie Price's representative for comment.

Earlier this week, Katie revealed her heartbreak at being unable to visit her son Harvey as often as she'd like.

Harvey - who has Prader-Willi Syndrome, an under active thyroid, diabetes, is autistic and partially blind - is currently staying at a residential college in Cheltenham which is three hours away from Katie's home.

During an interview on GMB, she shared that the distance between her and Harvey, 19, is tough.

"Harvey's in Cheltenham now, he keeps ringing me saying, 'Mummy I miss you, I need your kisses and cuddles', so it is quite hard," she told hosts Susanna Reid and Alastair Campbell.

She went on: "It's not close."
