Katie Price announces new career move - but many fans fail to share same excitement

Katie Price has shared her latest career move yet many fans failed to share the same level of excitement.

The former glamour model, 45, announced she is starting a podcast which will first air later this month.

Sharing the news of her new podcast The Katie Price Show, the mum of five uploaded a video to her Instagram.

She said: "Oh my God! The countdown to The Katie Price show, it really has started.

"Tell your neighbours, friends, anyone!"

In the caption, Katie wrote: "The first episode of #TheKatiePriceShow will be out on the 29th June!!!! Tell all your mates and make sure you download the trailer, which is available to listen to right now!

"Just search for The Katie Price Show, wherever you listen to your podcasts."

Yet many of her fans failed to share Katie's enthusiasm, especially since the tragic death of her pet dog Blade.

One said: "Soon forgot the loss of her pet! Would take me weeks before I could even smile."

"I think this is just one time too many to try and reinvent yourself I have always liked Katie but there's just to many negative stories and dramas out there now," added another.

However, some came to her defence as someone wrote: "I dont understand why people follow you, if they dont like you. All the negative comments are horrible.

"Person shaming. Bullying. Toxic. I could go on. Just unfollow & leave her alone if you dont like her. No wonder people in the public eye are suffering. Its called entertainment. People entertain us. If you dont like it, dont watch."

"The comments are just plain nasty.. and coming from adults. I bet you follow her though," added another.

Earlier this month Katie's dog Blade died close to her home after being struck by a car.

The incident left the former model feeling "numb and shocked" and took place on the same road where another one of her dogs, Sharon, was also struck – seven months prior.

She penned: "Words can't express the lost of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today I have no words to say how I’m feeling but numb and shocked rip Blade."

In recent months, a petition to prevent Katie from owning animals has soared, with over 30,000 people signing it after seven of her pets died.

Over the course of six years, she has lost five dogs, a horse as well as a chameleon.

Katie's latest career move comes after having various TV shows, books and even a music career under her belt.

Despite launching a podcast, she openly admitted she wouldn't know how to download one and has never listened to one.

During a question and answer session, the star was asked: "Are there any podcasts you like listening to?"

However, Katie's response was not what was expected, as she revealed: "You'll hate me for this. I have never listened to a podcast in my life.

"I actually haven't, I wouldn't know how to download it."

The Kate Price Show will see Katie appear alongside her sister Sophie Price.
