Katie Price and son Harvey thank the NHS as they take part in Clap for Carers campaign

Katie Price and her son Harvey joined the rest of the nation in thanking the NHS on Thursday night.

The former glamour model, 41, and her eldest child, 17, filmed a video of themselves to take part in the Clap for Carers campaign.

Thousands of people across the country clapped on their doorsteps for the NHS workers who are risking their lives to treat people suffering with coronavirus.

And Katie decided to film the video to remind people to take part as the mother and son did their bit to say thank you.

She said: "Me and Harvey would like to say a massive thank you to everyone all the social health carers, nurses, doctors, everyone in the NHS, everybody helping at this moment in time.

"Harvey gives a massive thank you. What do you think of the health workers out there?

"What do you want to say?"

"Thank you for the helpers!" Harvey said.

Katie continued: "And you've been amazing with Harvey's medication and everything so just keep well, we love you all."

Harvey was born blind, is on the autistic spectrum and has Prader -Wili syndrome. tick disorder, ADHD and opposite deficit disorder.

Katie's son Junior, who lives with his dad Peter Andre, is showing symptoms of coronavirus, though she didn't mention it in the video.

She captioned the video: "A huge thank you to all the health and social care staff on our front line during this pandemic.

"Harvey and I will be giving a huge round of applause to all of you tonight at 8PM. Please join us and clap from your windows, doors and balconies.

Katie added the hashtags #NHSThankyou #ClapForOurCarers #ClapForNHS #ClapOurCarers.

As of Friday morning there have been 537,787 cases of coronavirus worldwide, with 24,146 people dying from the bug.

But 124,564 of those have recovered.

In the UK there have been 11,658 cases; with 578 deaths and 135 recorded recoveries.
