Katie Price and Carl Woods shack up in Shropshire for romantic staycation in log cabin

Newly-engaged Katie Price and Carl Woods have gone on a staycation to Shropshire this weekend and have been sharing their experience on Instagram.

After a 10-month whirlwind romance, Love Island alumni Carl proposed to the Pricey last month making it a whopping eight engagements for the star.

The 42-year-old star kicked off the countryside break by getting her nails done with 13-year-old daughter Princess, who she later taught how to rustle up a carbonara.

Meanwhile, six-year-old Bunny, who Katie shares with ex-husband Kieran Hayler enjoyed splashing around in the hot tub, with Carl joking that her, Princess and their mum were wearing matching tracksuits.

Filming Katie and Princess cooking together in the kitchen, he joked: "Look at 'em in their matching tracksuits - unbelievable, and Bunny, look!"

Katie's youngest son Jett can also be seen in the Instagram photos but her oldest two, 15-year-old Junior, and 18-year-old Harvey, who recently bagged his own reality TV show, did not appear to have gone on the holiday.

Set on the English-Welsh borders, the lodges in Shropshire offer cabin-look accommodation with wooden walls, a log burner fire and the all-important hot tub.

Nestled in the heart of the countryside, it would have given the family plenty of opportunity to switch off and even stargaze at the night sky.

Carl told his 170k Instagram followers: "We're back at the favourite spot, Henllehall, ahh get a fire on - let's do it!"

It's not the first time Katie and Carl have visited the luxury retreat with the pair ending up in hot water for reportedly breaking lockdown rules after taking a trip to Shropshire in February.

However, it was later reported that Katie swerved any repercussions of taking the trip, amid the nationwide lockdown, as West Mercia Police ruled that Katie had made the journey for "legitimate" work purposes and insisted she complied with lockdown regulations.

As regulations ease, the duo are set to tie the knot later this year after a romantic proposal that took place at the couple's home. Carl, 33, revealed that he had specially designed the engagement ring himself.

The Love Island star is set to wed the mother-of-five after he surprised her with a stunning diamond.

Speaking to OK! magazine, the couple expressed their joy about the recent proposal and revealed several details about how Carl popped the question. The reality star also recalled the process he went through to design the eye-watering ring.

Carl's interview came as professional jewellers estimated that the ring could be worth around £250,000.

"I had the whole house kitted out with balloons and flowers, and a big sign inside that said 'Mrs Woods'," Carl revealed to the publication.

Katie also went on to admit that despite talking about getting married for quite some time, Carl's recent proposal still came as quite a surprise.

While there were no tears during the romantic reveal, Katie did admit: "I was so shocked! The ring nearly blinded me."
