Katie Price admits hurling 'tirade of abuse' at ex-partner's girlfriend in school playground row

Katie Price has admitted verbally abusing her former partner’s girlfriend during an argument in a primary school playground.

The former model was accused of hurling a “tirade of abuse” at Michelle Penticost and her friend Andrea Quigley on 6 September 2018.

Paul Edwards, prosecuting, told Horsham Crown Court that the altercation took place in front of young children and a teacher at a school in the village of Shipley.

Horsham Magistrates Court heard that the former model shouted “f****** c***” at both women multiple times.

Ms Penticost is in a relationship with Kieran Hayler, Katie Price’s estranged husband.

Price, 41, appeared in court on Monday, on two charges of using threatening and abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

She had previously said she was “definitely not guilty” but changed her plea to guilty when she arrived at the court.

Paul Macauley, her defence lawyer, said the row was caused by the 41-year-old’s discovery that her former husband was dating Ms Penticost.

The magistrates were told Ms Price did not turn up to police interviews about the matter and had previously ignored a postal summons to an earlier court appearance.

The court case is the third the former model has faced in 2019 alone.

In February she was given another driving ban after being convicted of being nearly twice the limit while in charge of her pink Range Rover and told to pay £2,425.

And in a separate prosecution in January, she was banned after admitting driving while disqualified and ordered to pay a £1,100 fine plus court costs.
