Katie McGlynn shows off her stunning transformation after leaving Corrie - and she looks like a princess

Katie McGlynn said an emotional farewell to the famous cobbles after playing Sinead Osbourne for six years - and she looked a far cry from her Coronation Street persona as she attended Denise Welch's annual charity ball.

Katie, from Littleborough, wowed in a sweeping gold gown as she was joined at the event with her friend Lee Bennett and her former Corrie co-stars Alexandra Mardell who plays Emma Brooker in the soap, Jane Danson who plays Leanne Battersby and Sue Cleaver who plays Eileen Grimshaw.

Fans said the 26-year-old actress shared looked like a princess in her gorgeous gown, dubbed the 'dress of dreams.'

"You look like a prinny," said one fan on Instagram.

"Dress of dreams," said another.

"Like an angel," commented another.

"Princess," complimented another fan.

"Stunning," another told her.

Katie, whose character tragically lost her battle with cervical cancer last month, has been working hard on a transformation in the gym after leaving Corrie.

She's been updating fans on her Instagram with her progress and says she's not felt as healthy in a long time.

"When you start seeing and feeling the benefits, witness yourself getting stronger physically and mentally- there is nothing more motivating," she said in a recent post.

Loose Women star Denise was also joined by her chat show co-stars Saira Khan, Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore and Andrea McLean as she held her 19th annual ball for the Rochdale charity The Gem Appeal at the Principal Hotel.

Hosted by TV presenter Kate Thornton, VIP guests also included former I’m A Celebrity Jungle King Christopher Biggins as Denise opened the doors to a Magic Castle theme event.
