Katie McGlynn hints at an exciting new project as she poses in gorgeous floral frock

Katie McGlynn looked sensational as she slipped into a gorgeous floral dress while talking about 'new beginnings'.

The 27-year-old former Coronation Street star, best known for playing Sinead Tinker, took to social media to share a collection of stunning snaps taken as she enjoyed a recent wedding.

In the snaps, that Katie shared with her 304,000 Instagram followers, the platinum blonde bombshell cheerfully gripped a glass of bubbly in her hand as she modelled the pink floral gown.

She finished her pretty ensemble off with a striking black clutch bag as well as a white rose attached to her chest.

Alongside the gorgeous pictures, taken in front of a pink cherry blossom tree, the actor teased that there were 'new beginnings' to look forward to.

It comes over a year and a half since she left Coronation Street amid a heartbreaking storyline.

"When cherry blossoms fall, new beginnings follow #newbeginnings #lastweekend #whenitwasactuallysunny," she penned alongside the snap.

In a second post, she then shared two close-up selfies as she showed off her perfectly polished makeup for the glam outing.

Naturally, the star was quickly inundated with messages from fans who swooned over the collection of summery snaps.

"Nice photo looking beautiful" wrote one follower.

"Loving the scenery," added a second.

Katie played the character Sinead in the ITV soap between 2013 and 2019, before the character was killed off following a heartbreaking storyline in which she battled cervical cancer.

She went on to win a National Television Award for her portrayal of the character.

However, her time on the soap came to an end months before the Covid-19 pandemic swept the world, leaving actors like Katie in the lurch and unable to work because many productions were halted.

Katie recently returned to work after being cast for a role in The Syndicate (BBC)

Earlier this year, Katie finally made her return to television for the first time since leaving Coronation Street when she was cast in the fourth series of BBC's The Syndicate.

The actress says joining the cast of The Syndicate – which also starred Gaynor Faye and Neil Morrissey – was a no-brainer after she “fell in love” with the first series of the show.

She previously said, "it’s really good at representing working-class Northern life”.

While Katie has finally been able to return to work, she also recently revealed that she was also open to the idea of finding love after answering questions from curious fans.

Speaking to followers during a Q&A session, the actor said: "I haven’t found the right person. And I don’t see the point in wasting time with the wrong one.”
