Katie McGlynn drops weight loss bombshell as she unveils body transformation

Katie McGlynn looks incredible as she unveils her amazing body transformation after dropping two dress sizes.

The actress, 26, admitted she felt down about her appearance and blamed her hectic Coronation Street schedule and late working hours for the downward spiral of her training regime and healthy eating.

The soap star, who famously played cancer-stricken Sinead Tinker, has revealed her dramatic new look came after she upped her step count to a massive 15,000 strides a day.

Her character's final scenes aired last October and left Corrie fans in tears as Sinead lost her emotional two-year battle with cervical cancer.

Katie told The Sun how the sad subject matter and intense filming left her snacking on cakes in the Corrie canteen, and creeping to a size 12.

Throwing herself into a new fitness plan and striving her a healthier lifestyle, Katie admitted she finally feels like herself again.

Katie's training plan with personal trainers at Ultimate Performance in Manchester concentrated on superset workouts and focusing on bigger muscle groups to optimise her results.

But she revealed upping her step count saw the biggest change.

She told the publication: "I was weight-training four to five times a week, and steps was the main thing.

"I was doing 15,000 steps a day, which really helped, and tracking them on an app.

"It took 12 weeks to lose the weight. I’m now a size 8, and I was a 10 before - tethering on a size 12.”

Katie showed off her incredible new figure at last month's NTAs, where she was crowned winner of the Serial Drama Performance.
