Ireland captain Katie McCabe brilliantly responded to high praise from Paul McGrath by simply calling him a "legend".
After Ireland's fantastic 2-1 win in Helsinki on Tuesday night, captain McCabe was the centre of attention as fans jumped to praise her performance on social media with McGrath sending an emotional message of congratulations.
"How brilliant were the Irish girls tonight in Finland . So proud of everyone of you, Two one to Ireland. Great result , well deserved," McGrath tweeted.
Katie McCabe replied, calling the ex Manchester United and Aston Villa man a "legend."
The exchange didn't finish there as McGrath branded her a "brilliant footballer."
McCabe was one of the stand out performers against Finland on Tuesday but even with some amazing moments for club and country this season the result could be her best especially if Ireland get all the way to the World Cup.
Speaking to RTE Sport McCabe said: "They had the ball at times it was an ugly win but we got the three points.
"It's the standards we set now. We've got belief we can carry it forward. We've two massive games next month - we've just got to build off this. Hopefully we can pack out Tallaght. We'll be looking forward to the fans coming to support us."
Ireland sit three points behind the Finns and have crucial double headers coming up in November against Georgia and Slovakia.
With positive results in those games, Ireland could fire ahead of Finland in to a play-off spot with Sweden expected to comfortably top the group.
