A Bristol pub landlord who vowed not to serve people unless they were wearing a poppy has received praise from Katie Hopkins.
Landlord of the Three Lions pub in Bedminster, Sean Donnelly, is offering a free drink to any current or former member of the Armed Forces.
But he has a policy not to serve customers who weren't wearing a poppy, although people do have the option to buy one of a range of poppies at the bar.
Following a Bristol Live story about the policy, the pub made national headlines and the issues the policy has since sparked fierce debate.
Some called the landlord's stance "ridiculous", saying it should be up to the individual and a voluntary choice - rather than force.
The Royal British Legion itself says wearing a poppy is a "very personal choice" which reflects "individual experiences and personal memories".
The legion stresses it is not compulsory to wear a poppy, but says it is greatly appreciated by those who it is intended to support.
But now controversial public figure Katie Hopkins has weighed in on the debate, describing Sean as an "absolute lad" before thanking him.

In Bristol, thousands of people travelled to the city centre this morning for the Remembrance Sunday service at The Cenotaph.
The service began with people meeting on College Green before a parade to the centre before the gathering at the war memorial.
