Katie Holmes looks amazing in a LBD and a colourful face mask in New York City

Katie Holmes looked every inch the movie star when she stepped out in Soho, New York City.

The actress, 41, turned heads when she put on her own fashionable parade in a LBD around the bustling streets of the Big Apple on Thursday.

Her belt snaked around her slender waist to flatter her petite figure so it's no wonder Katie looked amazing in the black thigh-skimming number.

In line with coronavirus restrictions, the bombshell added a splash of colour to her glamorous all-black attire with her patterned face mask.

All the strands of her brunette locks were tied up into a bun on the top of her head and she wore sunglasses on the end of her nose.

Katie's handbag was swung over her shoulder and she carried her lunch in her other hand.

Her daughter Suri Cruise, who Katie raises with her Hollywood star ex Tom Cruise, was seen out in New York City on Wednesday, the day before.

The Top Gun actor's daughter wore all-matching pink when she went to greet her friends for a socially distanced lunch outing.

Before this, Katie and Suri hadn't been seen out and about since March 27 earlier this year.

As lockdown begun to ease, the celebs and their offspring have ventured out of their homes.

It comes after Katie started following Thandie Newton on Instagram following her cutting comments about her ex husband Cruise.

Thandie shared her "scary" experience playing Nyah Nordoff‑Hall opposite Tom's Ethan Hunt in 2000's Mission: Impossible II.

Asked about why she never returned for the sequels, the Westworld actress didn't mind sharing what went on behind the scenes.

She told Vulture : "Oh, I was never asked. I was so scared of Tom. He was a very dominant individual. He tries super-hard to be a nice person.

"But the pressure. He takes on a lot. And I think he has this sense that only he can do everything as best as it can be done."

Thandie also recalled the teething problems with shooting in particular when Tom asked her to play his character and vice versa.

She explained: "It just pushed me further into a place of terror and insecurity. It was a real shame."
