Comedian Katherine Ryan has been unveiled as the host of The Real Housewives of London reunion, sending fans of the hit reality franchise into a spin.

The Canadian-born comic, 41, announced the news on Instagram with an image of herself confidently striding across a London crosswalk, flanked by actors dressed as Buckingham Palace guards.

“It’s time for us to answer the call for who is hosting the #RHOLDN reunion... please say hello to Katherine Ryan,” the caption read on the Hayu post.

Calling it a “dream opportunity”, Ryan expressed her excitement at fronting the high-drama special in a statement.

She said: “Pinch me and tell me this is real! As a mega-fan of The Real Housewives franchise – and of Hayu – I can’t wait to get Juliet, Amanda, Karen, Juliet, Panthea and Nessie into the hot seats at the end of the season.

“Hosting The Real Housewives of London reunion show is a dream opportunity for me – and I’m honoured to be trusted to represent the fans and to bring a female perspective to analysing all the emotions, arguments, twists and revelations!”

The announcement sparked an outpouring of fan enthusiasm online, with RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Bimini Bon Boulash among the first to comment: “SHUT THE FRONT DOOR.”

Other fans quickly followed suit, hailing the news as “iconic” and “the best thing to happen in 2025”.

The London edition marks the latest international spin-off of the Real Housewives franchise, known for its explosive rows, opulent lifestyles and behind-the-scenes social drama among the ultra-rich.

Viewers can expect a tantalising mix of designer fashion, exclusive VIP events, and an inside look at the lavish lives of London’s elite, all set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most iconic cities.

Ryan latest project comes after it was reported that she’s expecting her fourth child, just two months after revealing she had been diagnosed with melanoma for a second time.

According to HELLO!, the Duchess star is said to be pregnant with her third child with long-time partner Bobby Koostra.

The couple already share two young children, Fred, three, and Fenna, two, while Ryan is also mum to 15-year-old Violet from a previous relationship.
