Kate Wright shares poignant moment she'll 'never forget' from stunning wedding to Rio Ferdinand

Kate Wright, or should we say Ferdinand, has shared a poignant moment from her recent wedding that she says she'll "never forget".

The former reality star wed former Manchester United star Rio in a three-day celebration last month in Turkey.

The lovebirds said 'I do' in an emotional cliff-top ceremony at the D Maris Bay hotel in Marmaris in front of close family and friends, including Rio's two sons, Lorenz, 13, and 11-year-old Tate and eight-year-old daughter Tia who acted as Maid of Honour.

Kate has now let her 1m Instagram followers in on another part of the special day which left her footballer-turned-pundit beau in tears.

"There were so many special moments at our wedding ..... but this is one I will never forget," the 28-year-old wrote alongside a stunning snap of herself walking down the aisle.

But it was who joined her that left people with a lump in the throat.

Rio's two boys Lorenz and Tate were given the important honour and their proud dad can be seen watching on from the altar.

Rio then shared the post onto his own Instagram page adding, "Wedding day. My 2 boys walking my wife to be down the isle.

"Warmed my heart this...."

Fans of both couple have been flooding the post with comments on the 'beautiful' moment.

"This is stunning and such a lovely touch!!," said one.

Another said: "The most special moment that people both here and passed would be very proud. Many many congratulations."

"This is beautiful I just welled up," added a third whilst a fourth said: "Aw I love this... Wishing all 5 of you so much happiness."

In an interview with OK! Magazine following the big day, Rio opened up about Kate's role in their family after he tragically lost his first wife, Rebecca Ellison, to cancer in May 2015.

The 40-year-old said: "I genuinely feel like Kate was sent to us after what we have all been through, she came into our lives at the most perfect time."

And Kate added: "It's lovely being Mrs Ferdinand. He's my soulmate. It's been an emotional journey for sure, but it's all worth it."
