Kate Wright changes her name after wedding to Rio Ferdinand as they jet out of Turkey

Kate Wright has changed her name after her wedding to Rio Ferdinand this weekend.

The pair tied the knot on Friday in a lavish ceremony at a five star hotel, and they have since been spotted jetting out of the country.

Now Kate, 28, has now made her marriage Instagram official by changing her name on social media to Kate Ferdinand.

She returned to the site yesterday to share a snap of the newly-weds, captioning it: "Mr and Mrs Ferdinand 27/9/19."

The ceremony was an emotional one for the pair, with Rio admitting he cried when he saw his daughter Tia, eight, walk down the aisle before his stunning new bride emerged with his two sons.

He told OK! magazine“I cried as soon as the day started. Seeing Tia walk up the aisle before Kate set me off. It was just so emotional.

"There was just no going back on the emotion, that’s why I had to keep my shades on!

"Seeing Tate and Lorenz walk Kate down the aisle was particularly poignant and we wouldn’t have wanted to do it any other way.

"They were so proud and they couldn’t wait to do that, they felt important."

However, Kate had to endure a stressful run up to the wedding as she was legft without a dress days before the nuptials.

She told OK! : "I had been having a dress made since January but it all went wrong and it just wasn’t made right.

"A week before we flew to Turkey, I still didn’t have a dress. It was a total nightmare and I was stressed!

"I had to have an entire new dress made by The Wedding Club and fitted within a week."
