Kate tells fan George, Charlotte and Louis woke her up 'quite early' on Christmas Day

The Princess of Wales told a young fan that she had a 'lovely' Christmas with her children who 'got lots of lovely things' - despite the family having 'quite an early start' to the day.

Kate and William, along with their three children George, nine, Charlotte, seven, and Louis, four, joined King Charles as the royals attended the Christmas Day service at Sandringham church yesterday.

In a short clip, Kate can be seen approaching a little girl, named India, and thanking her as she handed the Princess of Wales a bouquet of flowers.

Kate asked India: “Have you had a nice morning, has father Christmas been?", to which India replied “yes, have you?

Kate said: “I’ve had a lovely morning, thank you very much. I had quite an early start this morning.

Another member of the public jumped into the conversation and can be heard asking: “Did the children get lots of nice things?

The Princess responded “they got lots of lovely things”, before moving along the crowd.

The couples' three children joined the family on their walkabout whilst speaking to well-wishing from members of the public.

George, Charlotte, and Louis were seen accepting gifts from the fans waiting outside on Christmas Day.

Prince William was also said to have commented on the children's presents while chatting to the crowds outside Sandringham church.

Hilary Marsh, 71, from Suffolk, who was also present in the crowd said: “I asked William if Father Christmas had been for the children and he smiled back and said, ‘They've had enough presents.’”

Ms Clark said she gave each of the three children a novelty festive gnome with a pointed hat called a gonk, while gifting Kate flowers.

She said meeting William, Kate and their children was “absolutely brilliant.”

Ms Clark added: “I love them to bits, especially the children, the children are amazing,” she said.

“Prince Louis - I love Louis. He's always cheeky, that Louis is, but I love him.

The young prince was said to have got so caught up with the attention from the crowds that he was forced to run and catch up with his big sister Charlotte.

Kate was seen thanking a fan as she complimented her on her outfit. The fan said "you look lovely, by the way" as the Princess continued along the crowd.
