It's official: the summer's over and, unfortunately, that goes for the Royals too.
As parents across the country prepared to drop their children off at school this morning, the same also applied to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they dropped Princess Charlotte off at Thomas's Battersea this morning alongside her brother, Prince George.
As Kate arrived to see her four-year-old daughter off, she looked delightful in a red and pink floral Michael Kors dress, which she cinched at the waist with a skinny black belt and paired with navy blue pumps. Her make up was kept subtle, while her hair and skin both looked sun-kissed.
Kate recycled a dress that she last wore in May 2018, when she travelled to Windsor for the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
This is Kate's first school drop photo call as in 2017, when it was George's first day, she was pregnant with Prince Louis and was suffering from a severe form of morning sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum.
Today is also George's first day back at school as he prepares to enter Year 2, and the six-year-old royal arrived holding Prince William's hand, just as he did two years ago when he arrived for his first day.
