Kate's sweet new nickname which reflects her selfless parenting habits

Kate Middleton has received an adorable new nickname which reflects her selfless habit of always putting her three kids first.

A quick scan of the Princess of Wales' number of working days as a royal shows she completed almost a third, 18 out of 61, in September, all within 12 miles of her home in Windsor at Adelaide Cottage.

This could be a coincidence, or it could be a conscious effort made by Kate to carry out her royal duties for spotlight purposes while staying closer to home, to also have time for her young children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Her most recent duty took place on Tuesday last week at Maidenhead Rugby Club, which is only around seven miles from her home, the Mirror reports.

Then in May, she and husband Prince William carried out a surprise walkabout on Windsor's Long Walk to mark the Coronation Big Lunch.

The day before they also took to their local area as they stepped out for a day of activity in Slough with the Scouts.

This habit led to one royal fan coming up with a new nickname for the Princess as they joked: “Perhaps Kate ought to be retitled the Princess of Slough!” the Mail on Sunday reported.

Another source said: "It has been noted that there have been an awful lot of jobs for both Kate and William near their home.

"But they have always said that the kids come first so it stands to reason that they want one of them to be there for the school run.

Kate also paid a visit to the Slough a few months earlier in February, when she went to the Oxford House Community Care.

At the time, it was reported that she was eager to learn more about her local communities after relocating to Berkshire.

Both William and Kate are known for being very hands-on parents and try to carry out their royal duties around their children's lives as much as possible.

Kate was put through her paces during her visit to Maidenhead Rugby Club last week as she showed off her sporting talents while taking part in a rugby drill.

The Princess took part in a game of walking rugby as she raised awareness of the lifelong impact of early childhood and the importance of community settings in early years.

The royal, who is patron of the Rugby Football Union, was dressed for the occasion in a pair of Sweaty Betty tracksuit bottoms, a pale blue England rugby training top and her Lululemon trainers as she met with both local and national men's rugby players.

The sporty Princess joined in with their training and could be seen enthusiastically throwing and catching the ball with ex-international Danny Care and exchanging a joke with former star player Ugo Monye.
